In the next year, I predict most handset manufacturer and carriers will release operating systems whose central organizing principle will be some rendition of a social address book. More than two out of three people worldwide tuned in for the Beijing Olympics. Nielsen Media Research says 4.7 billion viewers globally saw at least some of the 17 days of TV coverage last month. This audience was one-fifth larger than the 3.9 billion who watched the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

Honda hit a home run when it released the Fit. Both Motor Trend and Road and Track performed comparison tests between the Fit, Toyota Yaris and Nissan Versa with Fit being the clear winner. The Fit is a great, economical car, but certainly underpowered for the performance enthusiast. The expert engineers at HKS are looking to solve this problem.
